1948 Leaf Baseball cards RAW

The 1948-1949 Leaf Baseball Card Set includes 98 cards, each measuring 2 3/8” by 2 7/8”.  Some cards were printed with a 1948 copyright date on the card back, but the set was not released until 1949. Also referred to as the 1949 Leaf set, it was the first to be printed in color after World War II.

The 1949 Leaf Baseball Card Set is one of the most difficult post-war sets to complete. The 1948 Leaf cards can be numbered between 1 to 168, but there was not a card for every number, and half of the cards issued were printed in limited quantities making them much harder to find. Card backs contain offers and are sometimes found with incorrect or blank backs.
